Recognition
In 2014 Sarah Bernhardt et le Docteur Pozzi was awarded le prix Crépinet d'histoire de la médecine de l'Académie Nationale des Sciences, Belles-lettres et Arts de Bordeaux, and in 2015 le Prix 2015 de l’Académie des Lettres et des Arts du Périgord.
In 2016 the Mayor of Bergerac, Daniel Garrigue, awarded the Medal of the town of Bergerac to Caroline de Costa for her efforts in researching and writing about the life and work of ‘a child of Bergerac.’ In October 2018 Caroline gave a plenary address at the annual INFOGYN meeting of French obstetricians and gynaecologists at Pau; the topic was the work of Samuel Pozzi and his contribution to the advancement of women’s healthcare. In September 2018 Caroline participated in the European Days of Heritage which in that year in Bergerac were devoted to Samuel Pozzi and chaired by Daniel Garrigue. She took part in a conference in the Orangerie in Bergerac on 21st September and in presentations at the exhibition around Pozzi’s life and work at the Musée du Tabac.
